The Bruce Guthro Songwriters Circle

ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED September 7, 2019 now RESCHEDULED to October 10, as a result of Hurricane Dorian.

September 7 tickets will be redeemed at this time. Please contact the Eastlink Centre box office (902-629-6625) BEFORE SEPTEMBER 23 with any questions regarding tickets.

See Maritime legends and the hottest new prospects, perform some of their most popular songs while sharing in the heartache, laughter and original stories that brought the songs to life.

The artist names and their songs no doubt highlight the night but equally entertaining is their stories, banter and humour. October 10th artists are:

Bruce Guthro - needs no introduction! With more than 1,000,000 records sold world-wide and the recipient of numerous awards, Bruce combines his musical talents with his quick wit and knack for taking the best out in his guests as they tell the stories behind their songs.

J.P. Cormier - his songs, stories and humour always a make him a favourite on any of Bruce's Songwriters' Circles. J. P. has won numerous ECMA and Canadian Folk Music Awards as well as a Juno Award nomination. He has performed on stages all over the world, sometimes sharing it with the likes of Waylon Jennings, Marty Stuart and Chet Atkins.

Dave Gunning (replacing Catherine MacLellan from the Sept show) - 10+ ECMA Awards, 2 Canadian Folk Music Awards, 1 Juno Award nomination and more than 10 recorded albums are all a testament to Dave's talents as a signer/songwriter. He is a true entertainer with his quick wit and passionate story telling. "Gunning is certainly one of the most celebrated songwriters we’ve seen from the Maritimes… if you want to know about the Maritimes, get a Dave Gunning album.” CBC Music New Brunswick

Garrett Mason – tours indoor venues and outdoor festivals all across Canada. A Juno Award winner for Blues album of the year, he prefers to let his performances do his promotion with little marketing. Thus, he is sometimes referred to as the “guitar legend you’ve never heard of”.

Do you enjoy music performed all over the world and the stories behind the songs? Do you enjoy laughing and maybe even singing along with the odd tune? If so, you don't want to miss this...
